We had a wonderful holiday weekend in Newport (except for almost
burning down the house making a cheesecake) and walked off the turkey
torpor doing letterbox maintenance. Sorry to have to report these
boxes of ours missing:
In Jamestown RI,
Island Sanctuary
Fort Getty
Fort Wetherill
(http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/drewclan/conancut.htm)
And our first-ever mystery box,
Quonochontaug
(http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/drewclan/mystery.htm)
Since all of these were older boxes and had quite a long run, we'll
not be replacing them. Many thanks to everyone who took the time to
visit!

Hi Jay,
I am surprised to hear that the Fort Weatherill box is among the
missing. I just did it less than 2 weeks ago (NOV 20) and the box
was fine. It is such a beautiful spot, to bad it went missing.
I am sad to hear about the Quonochontaug box. It was the first
mystery box I ever found.

wow.... Quonnie is missing? Darrin and I were just there about a month and a
half ago..... good thing I didn't check on it with my sister-in-law Kendra
today while visiting the beach house down the street.... we would have been
VERY disappointed.
I was going to head out to Jamestown next weekend to get those.... thanks for
telling me that they were missing :-)

Grrrrrr ... Quonochontaug. Let me tell you about Quonochontaug.
I find it odd that this of all LBs would go missing. I know that it
had been moved once or twice (since the clues listed junipers but the
box lay beneath arborvitaes, with a note in the journal indicating
the move ....)
Hmmm ... maybe Mulder took it with him when he went on the run! We
could have our first extraterrestrial hitchhiker on our hands!
Okay, it's the tryptophan from the turkey ....
